I must admit, I rarely get super excited about sneaker releases, just after more than 22 years of history behind my back its difficult to do so, but this year Reebok are giving me so many reasons to be super excited and feel again like that kid I was back in the early 90’s, looking at kicks trough the glass window of sneaker stores and just dreaming one day to have at least one pair. First the Kamikaze l, my all time favorite basketball sneaker, is dropping this month after 20 years of wait time behind my back and now my favorite running shoes the Insta Pump Fury l is getting a release date and most of all it will be releases in its original form and colorway, without any weird hybrid mixes or strange colorways. The Insta Pump Fury is arguably the most innovative sneaker ever created by any company after the creating of the original Air Max l by Nike back in 87. Even if you are not a fan of Reebok, you will have to admit that the futuristic look, color combination, weight, the technology incorporated and the fact that there are no laces at all on that model, the fit was provided only by exopump chamber going around the midfoot and heel area, are creating an amazing timeless package that is relevant even today. I remember the first time I saw it in 94, I was absolutely blown away, the design was so drastic, loud and different than anything else at that time, a person wearing the Fury could have been noticed from a half a mile away, than all the celebrities just loved it too, you could have spot a pair on the feet of so many famous people.

Other technology used in the model and different than the full foot Pump chamber, the Fury had a massive Graphlite plate that actually separated the midsole on two parts and the Hexalite was placed on three spots, one under the heel its self, one on the back of the midsole and one on the lateral side of the midsole.

Finally! This January 31st, Reebok are releasing it again, unfortunately I don’t have information on retailers that are going to sale the Fury, but I would have to speculate and say probably all Reebok retail partners, since the wait for this shoe is just huge. Also the price is unknown, but judging by last years Reebok catalog for EU releases, it seems it will be between $140 and $150.

Thank you Reebok!
