Nike SB Dunk High Premium “Diamond” Official Images+Release Information
They’re back! One of the most coveted and appreciated Nike SB Dunk Low colorways returns almost a decade later in high top form. The original Nike SB “Tiffany” originally released in 2005 and was a collaboration between Diamond Supply Company and Nike Skateboarding. Since then, they have not only gone for premium prices but one of the main features that makes the shoe so desirable is its premium look and feel. Nike Skateboarding hit this release out of the park back in 2005 utilizing rich smooth leather in an eye-catching Tiffany blue, luxurious black “croc” print, and a metallic silver Nike Swoosh.
Fortunately, in celebration of 10 years since the game changing sneaker released, Nike has decided to bring it back, sporting a few changes. When we originally heard rumors of this release, many dismissed them as simply false. However, the release has been recently confirmed and now has a release date only a couple weeks away!
The sneaker returns in a high top form, but in original fashion. It still uses that Tiffany blue leather along with the “croc” print which appears to be more of a somewhat shiny crocodile textured leather but no where near how it was on the original low top version; at least in pictures that is. Along with the same chrome swoosh and classic white and black midsole and outsole, the sneaker is finished off with a black and Tiffany blue tongue tag similar to that of the original release as well.
Unfortunately, the hype is growing and despite further rumors that these will be widely available these will still sell out instantly. Nevertheless I will most certainly be going after these, counting my prayers in hopes that I become successful once again after being able to grab a pair of the 2013 “Bred” 1s.
What seems a bit ironic is that the past couple Nike SB releases have been coming in Tiffany blue boxes, and these will definitely come in that box as well. It almost seems like the new box seems to be themed around the celebration of the return of this shoe, which is great! Also, there have been several successful Nike SB releases beginning with the “Ugly Christmas Sweater” Pack and more recently, the “Chinese New Year” Nike SB’s. This points to the fact that Nike is trying to revitalize their Nike SB line and this upcoming release will surely give the Nike SB the attention it deserves. I wouldn’t be surprised to see many other amazing collaborations and releases throughout 2014 and beyond that will catapult Nike SB onto a platform it used to be at in years past.
The Nike SB Dunk High Premium “Diamond” will release on February 8th, 2014 for a retail price of $108. This release has just been added to Nike’s release calendar so take a look at the official pictures below!
