Tips On Unlocking The Limited Nike Lebron 11 2k14 (Xbox One or PS4)

When it was announced that you can get a special code via the next gen consoles (Playstation 4 and Xbox One) on NBA 2k14, I wanted to check this out and try to get these shoes!  As a fan of Lebron, Basketball, and Nike, these limited shoes looked like a fun challenge to trying to complete.  They only have 2014 pairs made, once they are sold out they are gone.

Well this was an uphill battle for me because I am an avid gamer, but never got into the NBA 2k series before, so I was a complete noob.  I didn’t know what subtle changes they made from the 2k13 version and 2k14 version because I have never played the previous one!  So getting this limited sneaker was very challenging for me, so hopefully some of these tips will help you accomplish this same goal if you are trying to get the Lebron 11s.

Click HERE to see my original post on the requirements to get the sneakers.  I am going to walk through the requirements below.

HOW TO BECOME ELIGIBLE

  • Register in-game with a 2K Sports online account.

This is confusing if you have a linked account, if you are new to the 2k series it will ask you for your email when you fire up the xbox for the first time.

Mine ended up being linked in the game via xbox, to verify if you have an account, go to “NBA Today” hit the B Button (xbox) then hit “options”.  Then hit Left Trigger and you will see a tab “Update email address”.  The email address is linked to you xbox account, so if you are playing the game and the email is at this location, you don’t actually have to “register”. This part was very confusing to me.

  • Create a custom MyPLAYER in-game.

This is simple, simply enter “MyCareer” mode and start a new player.  You will create your player look and position, then begin a journey as a rookie trying to make it in the NBA.

  • Complete at least 60 season games and earn an elite player ranking.

So completing 60 season games can be a pain, but you can do this easy, how do you earn an elite player ranking? that is the hard part.  I have heard you need to be a rank 90 or an “overall” of 90.  My average grade was only a C+.  Position was 6th and League Rank was 14th.  Some tips getting Elite Player Ranking 1- Play on easy, yes it does count, but you dont earn as much VC.  2- Play longer games to help you score more points

If you dont get this unlocked after 60 season games, you need to keep playing, I did very poorly at first, so I didnt get this until after the first season! So yes, if you dont get it in the first season, you still can get it the next season!  and it is actually easier then I think if you play well, you can simulate the games and only play the ones that are critical to your career path.

  • Accept Nike Endorsement Path and be one of the first fans to create a Signature Shoe in the Innovation Kitchen

To do this, you need to NOT accept an endorsement from a competitor, like Adidas, and be sure you choose Nike NOT Jordan Brand. Once you actually get the Nike Endorsement you will be able to create a pair of shoes for your “signature” model via the Innovation Kitchen.

  • Earn the opportunity to purchase by becoming a Nike superstar in-game.

I am not sure how this is achieved honestly, I don’t know the difference between the “elite player” ranking and becoming a “nike superstar” but all I can say is you have to play well.  I ended up getting this when i had 18 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 4.5 apg, and yes I was a starter  I do think you need to have a high player ranking.  See my stats below:
