REEBOK TWILIGHT ZONE SNS “PUNSCHRULLE”
This one comes straight from Sneakersnstuff over in Europe and its a new collaboration between Reebok and SNS that is called Twilight Zone Pump ”Punschrulle”. Punschrulle is a brown and green colored candy that is traditionally served along side of a coffee cup and its all about the traditional Swedish fika (Coffee Break), Sweden is the world’s second largest coffee consumer, beaten only by their neighbors in Finland.
The Punschrulle was invented around the World War ll time when sugar, butter and many other things were rationed. Since one of the few things that you could actually buy at that time, was smaller pieces of hard bread, and someone figured that if you crumbled those pieces of bread, poured some Punsch on it and dipped it in chocolate it made a very tasty treat. Punsch is a quite sweet and very Swedish liqueur that is based on arrack and has a pretty distinct taste to it, so the combination was a success. And when the war was over and the days of rationing had moved on, someone realized that if you covered it in green marzipan it tasted even better.
Back to the Reebok Twilight Zone colorway, the shoe is made in green and brown upper of the Twilight Zone Pump ”Punschrulle” that is mimicking the green from the marzipan and the brown is representing the chocolate even the ERS system in the back is made to match the green and brown look of a proper Punschrulle.
This particular version will be available at SNS in week, for 139 EURO.
