“Red October” Yeezy 2s: Lets STOP The Rumors Already

Enough cannot be said about how many rumors we have been seeing about these Kayne West designed “Red October” Yeezy 2 sneakers, or as I call them “Redrum” Yeezy 2s, because to me they are murdering the sneaker game (Redrum spelled backwards = Murder).  I don’t mean murder as in a good thing, I mean they are single handedly turing sneaker heads into thirsty leachers, begging for a hook up or leaked information.

We have seen people claim that the Redrum Yeezy 2s are stocked currently and they know this for a “fact”.  We have also seen the other side where people say they know this is not true.  We have seen the pictures from sneaker events of people claiming to have the only “authentic” pair of Yeezy 2 Redrums.  But we also see every pair of “authentic” Red Yeezys look strikingly different from one another.

These Yeezy 2 “Red Octobers” have also been rumored to drop since July, and being late November, well we need to move on I think.  With Kanye signing to Adidas, the future for the Yeezy 2 looks very uncertain.  Why would Nike want to release a shoe (produced or not) from someone who has already left the company?  Nike is a multibillion dollar company, and doesn’t need the change they could make for this Yeezy 2 IMO.

Even if they do release, how many people will be burned by those so called “sneaker heads” who are selling FAKE Yeezy 2s?  There are probably 15 types of fake Red October Yeezy 2s already out there: “Super Perfect” “Super Perfect AAA” “Super Ultra Perfect AAAAA” “Super Ultra Mega Perfect AAAAAAA” Replica versions and so on.

So why all the fuss out about this one shoe? Is it because people can feel they could turn a couple hundred dollars into a couple grand? Is it for status? Is it for bragging rights? All I am saying is whatever the reason, we just need to stop jumping at every tid bit of rumors that are out there on these Instagrams, and Blog Sites.

In conclusion, here is a video I made back in May 2013 about why I would not be excited about this release, it is funny watching months later and see some of the things mentioned come to fruition.
