The Air Force 1 is one of Nike’s most classic sneakers. It is worn and loved by so many people that is has been an icon in the sneaker world and many sneaker enthusiasts believe that everyone should have an Air Force 1 in their collection. Every year Nike brings us interesting and unique colorways of the Air Force 1.
This past year marked the 30th anniversary of the sneaker and as a result Nike has brought back the shoe in celebration not only in 2012 but in 2013 as well. Something else that Nike has brought back is the use of Safari print. The earliest uses of Safari Print include being on the Air Max 1 and a previous Air Force 1 Low as well. When Nike first introduced Safari print it was an instant hit and people have been begging for its return ever since.
This year Nike has ushered in a new colorway of the Griffey Max 1 utilizing Safari Print, and Nike will continue to integrate this interesting design in an Air Force 1 Low and an upcoming Air Foamposite One.
This particular Air Force 1 Low has caught my eye since I first saw pictures of it, and I believe they look very nice and clean. The shoe sports 3M Safari Print throughout the toe, eyelets, and heel while combining what seems like a dark grey nubuck along the toebox and side panels. The shoe is finished off with a black nylon tongue and a black nubuck or suede Nike Swoosh. The shoe also features orange accents that can be seen on the tongue tag as well as on the outsole.
Look for these sneakers to drop Friday November, 20th at select Nike retailers. This release has not been confirmed on Nike’s release calendar but these may be a limited release. However, numerous other websites have published the same release date so 11/20 seems like the official date.
