All Chroma NikeID Lebron 11 Orders Delayed 1 Day Before Shipped To Date!
I was told by @J_Treble via twitter than his Nike ID Lebron 11 with Chroma option ($270) that he ordered on launch has been delayed until December, they sent him a cancelation email literally one business day before it was supposed to be delivered. This seems cold hearted to me, especially since you can see below, they sent him email confirmations along the way about the ordering process and how it was past the “Making” phase. If they were truly past this, shouldn’t they have known the materials were not in stock to create the “Chroma” option shoes chosen?
I took the liberty of contacting Nike Customer Service via Chat and asked them about this, below was that conversation:
Matthew: Hi, my name is Matthew. How may I help you?
ME: hello, had a question on the Lebron 11 Nike ID
ME: wondering why the Chroma option was removed?
Matthew: It’s very possible that this option was removed due to materials being unavailable. This option is due to come back on the 18th.
ME: it doesnt seem to make much sense to offer an option of Chroma on launch, then not have it available for orders?
Matthew: I can tell you that the orders placed on or before the product was removed from the site will not ship by the promised 5 week order message.
So Nike verified that ALL Chroma Nike ID orders will be delayed 1 month. This now makes sense why Nike removed the Chroma option quietly without saying anything, something I covered on my site weeks ago. It is frustrating as a consumer for Nike to offer a product that they cannot deliver. Furthermore, if you are an early adopter and try to purchase the newest Lebron 11 Nike ID with the most expensive options, then you unfortunately will not be getting the shoes as expected. I think if Nike new of this shortage earlier, they should have said something earlier instead of continuing to send confirmation emails to the anticipating customers.
Here it shows the alleged process of the shoe, email confirmations from Nike showing the order is processing:
Now you can see it is past “Processing” and in the “Making” stage. Oddly they didn’t mention the lack of materials for this to be made.
Below you can see the sneaker is past the “Making” phase and is “Finishing”. This email was sent on October 26th, 2013.
