Add two more must have sneakers to the already insane release list on November 9th! After being teased last week of this upcoming collab, UBIQ has finally released official images of their collab with Vans on both the Vans Era and Vans Sk8-Hi. The name of the collab derives its name from the tattoo parlor of Hiroshi Hirakawa, a famous tattoo artist and painter who does his work in the traditional Japanese ukiyo-e art style (WARNING: many pieces of his art work has nudity with some being graphic, which was common in ukiyo-e style artwork, so if you are looking for some more of his work, you have been warned). Both shoes feature different artwork done by Hirakawa-sama, with the Vans Era featuring  traditional samurai and dragon designs along the upper, whereas the Sk8-Hi has a painting of a sailor transporting Vans across the ocean. UBIQ branding can be find on the bumper on the heel of both shoes, as well as on the graphic insoles and at some place along the upper. Finishing up the shoe, we have a classic vulcanized white rubber midsole with more than likely a gum waffle outsole.

As a person of Japanese descent and a fan of Japanese artwork, these shoes are high on my list of shoes that I want. At this moment, prices haven’t been released yet, nor has any real release info other than the release date of November 9th. Keep with Collective Kicks as we will keep you updated as soon as more info is released!
