This summer was full of exciting announcements from the Reebok headquarters, after already released OG Shaq Attaq and Kamikaze ll, Reebok reviled their big plan for the next year retro galore. In July and later in August they held a few events where various media was invited to take a quick look at what is coming for all the fans in the year of 2014.

From the limited snapshots that were published many iconic models were able to be recognized including models like – Pump Omni l and ll, The Rail, Big Hurt, Battleground lll and Boulevard lll, Pump Graphlite, Insta Pump Fury, Swingman, D-Time, Insta Pump Shaq Attaq lV and last but defiantly not least the Kamikaze l in all of its original colorways – Black/White/Green, Black/White, Black/Red and Black/Navy Blue. Revealing this model was probably the most exciting news form my self and I am sure many other fans of the brand and the Reignman himself. In the year of 2014 the Kamikaze l will be turning exactly 20 years, and if Reebok follows the same path to release their most famous sneakers on the 20th year of their original release date, we can expect the Kamikaze one to drop around February, similar to Kamikaze ll earlier this year.
The Kamikaze l was the first signature shoe created for Shawn Kemp after being with Reebok in the last few years. Kemp was dominating the game in the West and was one of the most powerful forwards at his time, his fearless trade mark dunks gave the name of the sneaker – Kamikaze, because of his lack of any hesitation and fear to complete his mission. The shoe what defiantly something of a radical design for its time, so recognizable even today almost two decades a go, it was constructed with a mixture of nubuk and full grain leather with the zig-zag pattern on the side and like a lot of people will describe it as a similar to spider web pattern that was extended from top all the way to the outsole, cushioning was Hexalite based as always. Arguably Kamikaze l was the best looking sneaker in NBA for season 94-95, at least from the Reebok line.
