It seems that there has been a huge trend in sneakers lately that is causing much confusion in this crazy sneaker culture.  Seeing Pre-Release sneakers is nothing new, but to the extent that we see today, it causes much confusion because there are so many different variegations of a “authentic” sneaker.  Many sites sell fake / replica sneakers, and they call them “AAA Fakes”.  So they look and feel, like the real thing, but they arent?  AAAAAAA or AAA, fake is fake.  Replica is replica.

These are examples of some of the replicas from a quick internet search.  The Prices are $47 to $130 for these “AAA replica” shoes that are releases now or not released yet.

To Add to the confusion, they have different tiers of fakes, different tiers of “super perfect” sneakers.  You can see from this one site the price is $79 and $129 for a replica “Super Perfect” Yeezy 2 Red October.  How confusing is that to the consumer?  What if people are buying the $79 one here, but another site has them for $130?  Its a shady business, start buying sneakers and see for yourself.  Sometimes they use the SAME stock images of 2 different priced shoes.  And do you think the people selling the sneakers are always giving you the correct version of the replica you order? LOL.  I am never on this market because I dont mess with replicas, but if I was I am telling you there are many stories of unhappy customers getting screwed over by companies over seas.

The game changing thing that we are seeing now however is seeing replicas before the actual launch of a shoe, months early.  It causes market confusion for sure, and there are many negative societal effects that this replica market has.  The biggest issue i take arms with is when these idiot people buy a replica sneaker and sell them as real, overcharging and swindling the general public.

Here is a video I did recapping this issue:

Moving on to the subject at hand, the Yeezy 2, Red Octobers, how do we know or how can we trust the early released pairs are authentic?  The replicas look so close to authentic now, it really makes it impossible to tell the difference from a simple image.  So the magic question, are these real or reps?
