Nike Air Trainer 1 “Infrared”-Release Date and Official Images

They’re back, one of Nike’s most iconic silhouettes, the Air Trainer 1 designed by Tinker Hatfield. These training sneakers were originally released in 1987 and their purpose was to serve as a training shoe, hence the name “trainer”, for multiple different sports. Tinker Hatfield drew his inspiration from seeing many different types of athletes in gyms who needed sneakers that were capable to serve as not only training shoes but athletes were looking for a sneaker that could be used to play different types of sports as well.

This latest release sports one of, if not the, most classic colorway of all time, Infrared. Infrared was first used on some of Nike’s earliest running/training sneakers including the Air Max 90 which we all know and love. The “Infrared” Air Max 90 is one of, if not the one and only colorway of choice for many sneaker enthusiasts, loving the shoe not only for its history but its impressive mix of both subtle and loud colors, all tied into one amazing performance/casual shoe.

Back to this release, the upcoming Air Trainer 1 in the Infrared colorway combines both a classic silhouette and a classic colorway, who can go wrong?

The shoe utilizes a variety of materials including soft nubuck, smooth leather, and thick woven mesh and nylon. The upper is mainly white with black, cool grey, cement grey, and infrared hits all around the shoe. The sneaker is finished off with that classic black/white trainer midsole and a black/infrared outsole.

There are so many things that go together amazingly on this shoe and it is sure to sell well as well as rank well with many classic sneaker collectors or any Nike fan from the late 80s and early 90s.

The shoe releases this Saturday October 26th for a retail price of $120, take a look at the pictures Nike has shown us below and let us know whether these will be a cop for you!
