Some of you may know that MVP candidate Russell Westbrook has been rocking an Air Jordan Hybrid with a 31 upper and 30 tooling (hence the 30.5 nickname) while putting up triple double after triple double.
There were rumors that the instability of the protruding zoom and the lack of flexibility the full length zoom provided were the reasons Westbrook wasn’t too fond of the 31s. As a result, Jordan Brand gave Westbrook the 30.5 to wear.
Obviously capitalizing on Westbrook’s monster season, Jordan Brand is now rumored to be releasing the Air Jordan 30.5 to the public in a P.E. (player exclusive) colorway. This “Why not” colorway has OKC’s team colors mixed in with black flyweave and elephant print on the heel. “Why Not” is printed on the bottom of the translucent outsoles for that added Westbrook touch. One can also not forget the RW logo on the tongue.
A sneaker we didn’t expect to see releasing again is rumored to be releasing on 4/29 for $200.
