People interested in a pair of the adidas Yeezy 350 Boost V2 in the “Zebra” colorway are freaking out due to the how limited this sneaker will be. With pre-orders selling out at $1200 plus, the thirst is real on this particular release. Adidas confirmed app and adidas.com only you say? There are some rumors about other foot sites getting them, possibly even silent dropping them. But that’s just speculation at this point.
The one aspect of the shoe that isn’t speculation or a rumor (at least from non-filtered pictures I’ve seen and pairs I’ve also seen in person), is the fact that the outsole rubber piece that wraps over and up to the heel portion of the caged midsole is… yellowed? It’s a part of the V2 that wasn’t as noticeable before, since all the colorways before the “Zebra” had either a black overlapping piece of rubber or a grey one. It is extremely noticeable on the “Zebra” colorway.
My question is, will this yellow heel drop appeal and value of the “Zebra” V2, regardless of how limited and hyped it is now? Or will it have zero impact, and people will be after these whether that overlapping piece was yellow, green, purple, etc? It’s going to be interesting to see what the feedback will be to this yellow heel once the sneaker is released. What are your thoughts?
