In a somewhat surprising move, the OG signature athlete for Brandblack (JCrossover 1-3), LA Clippers’ six-man extraordinaire Jamal Crawford did NOT renew his contract with Brandblack and opted instead to sign with adidas.
Many basketball fans and Brandblack fans were confused when they saw Jamal Crawford in a pair of adidas (I may be wrong but they appeared to be Crazylight Boost 2016s) today against the Warriors instead of the Brandblack Rare Metals he has been seen in most of the summer.
While Brandblack still has the likes of NFL Wideout DeSean Jackson and NBA Player Josh Smith on their roster, losing their original signature athlete can’t come as good news to the up and coming brand.
My hope, and I know they will, is that Brandblack continues to put out quality performance and lifestyle sneakers with great casual appeal for an affordable price. They’ve been doing it since their debut in 2012 and I fully believe they’ll continue to do it in 2016 and beyond.
