The first version of the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 is slated to drop this weekend and you know how that goes. Raffle season. I had to make my raffle rounds, but this time I wasn’t forced to drive all around Los Angeles because I’m in London! Maybe the odds are against me since I don’t have home court advantage, but I’m not sure having it helps with all the Kanye hype.
Entering raffles in London has been easy, maybe even too easy. Most of the local boutiques held online raffles to avoid potential chaos, but a few big retailers like JD Sports and Foot Locker EU organized in-store raffles.
All in-store raffles were digital with little to no lines, and compared to the States where lines are long, slow and painful, London raffles win based on time, ease and technology. Now with previous Yeezy releases, some London stores opted to do FCFS and it was mayhem, but there’s always a learning curve with new drops and thankfully, they learned from it and graduated to digital raffles.
Word on the street is that inventory numbers are close to GR numbers. Even Urban Outfitters will be releasing pairs. Take that rumor with a grain of salt and if you don’t win, you’ll have more chances to own a pair as additional V2 colorways are lined up to drop in the upcoming months.
*If you’re in the London-area, Foot Locker EU‘s in-store raffle ends tomorrow, Friday, September 23rd at 9 PM local time.
