Converse Auckland Modern Uses History as Inspiration

After the release of the Chuck Modern, Converse has been making some powerful moves. Converse has dug into its own running legacy to make a new modern sneaker. Converse was in a running craze in the 1970’s and 80’s, when they partnered with elite athletes and coaches. The designers of this new model wanted to incorporate it’s running legacy with modern design.

With it’s affiliation with Nike-Nike owning Converse- Converse was able to use what looks like the Roshe midsole and Free Run flex grooves for the most comfort. Hyperfuse is used to ensure the split knit upper is as durable as can be.

The Converse Auckland Modern can be found in five colorways- Black/Soar, Black/White, Black/Lucid Green, Black/Action Red and Black/Dark Grey- starting July 21st for $110 online.
