Hot off of a huge collaboration release with Ronnie Fieg over at Kith, the Parisian boutique colette is keeping busy. Set to release this weekend, colette is joining with New Balance to contribute to New Balance’s catalog of the 580 model. This year is particularly special for the athletic company as it is the 20th anniversary of the original iteration of the 580. To celebrate this legacy, the two companies are releasing a pack consisting of a predominantly grey pair and a predominantly blue pair – a staple of colette.
The blue pair follows a more traditional route as it is sported on the original 580. The shoe sports a colette blue suede over the forefoot panels with a grey hit on the heel. The liner of the shoe consists of the classic colette blue tone.
The grey pair epitomizes colette’s vision onto what the 580 model has evolved into: the 580 deconstructed. Consisting of only three pieces of material on top of a RevLite sole, the deconstructed 580 is sleek and ready for the needs of modern life. Grey inversely sports the forefoot of the shoe, with colette blue on the heel. A sleek neoprene liner is on the inside of the shoe and rope laces top it off. The pack will drop this Saturday at colette, yet an international drop is unknown. Keep your eyes peeled to the Collective Kicks site for more information.
