Concepts and New Balance team up once again to contribute to the boutique’s twentieth year anniversary collaboration lineup. Last month, the Boston-based boutique dropped the Nike Free Trainer 1, with a thermal tongue that reflected the heat of the wearer, and this month Concepts returns with another shoe from New Balance.
The Trailbuster, a seldom used model, makes its first appearance of 2016 — last year it was only available through a collaboration with the menswear line, J. Crew. Concepts ‘reengineered’ the retro runner to be appropriate for the modern day demands that is necessary of such a shoe.
The shoe utilizes a 3M material woven through black material that gives a flash for runners and casual wearers alike. To finish the shoe, New Balance and Concepts finish the collaboration on top of a clean gum sole. The release will happen this Saturday, February 6th, at 10 am in-store in Cambridge, as well as at 12 pm online at cncptsintl.com for a retail price of $135.
