After a brief break this week’s throwback segment is a testament to how time has really gone by for me as I remember wanting these Jordan 10’s so bad and not being able to get them at the time because my parents did not get paid until the next week(I was too young to work at this time). I also never forgot seeing all my friends at school with them on the next Monday which is probably one of the worst feelings ever when you are a kid who doesn’t ask for much. The simplistic combination of white, blue, and silver made this sneaker one of my all time favorite Jordan 10 color-ways. Similar to almost all of the most successful Jordan retro color-ways the less vibrant color-ways prove to usually look the best, something I think was important when Jordan brand chose to make this shoe similar to what an og color-way with royal blue would look like. Ultimately I did end up with a pair of these 10’s getting to feel first hand some pretty decent tumbled leather in my opinion, at least compared to some of the recent retro 10’s which were released with paper thin uppers. Like most 10’s these fire shoes have proven to be underated and forgotten.
