Concepts pops up again to collaborate with Asics; releasing a huge and ambitious pack. The concept of the pack is for the wearer to have the ability to switch and swap each colorway, each donned on the Gel Lyte V.
The front of the shoes all sport beige and brown uppers comprised of mesh and nubuck, yet the back is where the shoes truly pop. With four colorways, consisting of purple, red, blue, and teal, this collaboration is one of the largest in recent history.
Also notable, the sneakers will be sold in single colorways, meaning that you will have to buy two pairs of shoes to have the ability to mismatch colors. While this is interesting due to the fact that consumers will have the opportunity to choose their favorite colors, it kind of takes away from the Concept. On the contrary, the shoes retail for the relatively low price of $130 for adult sizes, a price that seems cheap in today’s sneaker culture.
The pack officially releases on November 7 online and at Concepts New York, as well as the original Cambridge location. Something also expressing the ambition of this release is the fact that this will be the first collaboration ever to sport children’s sizes! This is something that is awesome, and who else other than Concepts to break the barrier. The adult sizes will retail for $130, while the children’s sizes retail for $85. Look out in the coming weeks for more information on the collaboration.
