Concepts explodes onto the scene this Saturday with regards to releases. The Cambridge-based boutique has been giving sneak peaks of the newly revealed ‘Grail Collection’ all week, however now the public has the full scoop on what drops this weekend.
Nike SB Janoski Max “Mosaic”
The first component of the Grail Collection is assembled on the most modern silhouette in the collection, the Janoski Max. I purchased the Doernbecher Janoski Max’s and I do have to vouch for the fact that it is an extremely comfortable shoe, and I would almost consider it a runner. The colorway is also the most subdued with hits of red, blue, orange, and green layered over white suede to give the affect of a cracking mosaic when worn. The overlays of paint will crack and rub off to reveal the white suede, something I find very unique and cool. These release with a custom Concepts box, and will be available in-store (Cambridge and NYC) at 8am and online at 12 pm EST respectively.
Nike SB Dunk High “Stained Glass”
This Dunk is draped in a stained glass print, similar to ones seen in churches. It is custom made and no two pairs will have the same print. The shoes are covered completely in the stained glass print, and have a smoky black outsole. These release with a custom Concepts box, and will be available in-store (Cambridge and NYC) at 8am and online at 12 pm EST respectively as well.
Nike SB Dunk Low “Grail”
Lastly comes the most limited and outlandish of the three, the “Grail” low’s. These sport an entirely iridescent upper with a red and blue suede tongue on the left and right shoe respectively. The iridescence pops like no other material and changes color in the sunlight. They will also come with limited edition boxes that are instore only, with the Cambridge branch carrying 100 cement and 200 wooden boxes, while the New York counterpart will have 300 wooden boxes. The shoes will also release in their (not as cool but still awesome) custom Concepts box online at noon.
