Due to the fact that the Air Jordan 3 is currently in Nike’s sneaker vault of designs that will not be retroed until further notice sneakerheads can do is fantasize over some of the most popular colorways to hit the shoe. The True Blue Air Jordan 3 is one of the most classic and easy to rock sneakers of all time, and is a favorite to many Jordan enthusiast. Like other Jordan 3’s this shoe’s design is very simplistic, however that is not a bad thing as true blue accents the all-white leather upper with a touch of red on the Jumpman logo. The True Blue 3’s are the definition of “Clean, in my opinion and can be worn from any event ranging from casual to semi-formal without looking out of place. Overall Nike and Tinker Hatfield hit a home run when first designing these sneakers prior to the 1988 season, and making them available despite not being a non-Chicago Bulls colorway. The pair seen pictured is from the latest retro in June of 2011 for the 23rd anniversary of the shoe, and released at a retail price of $150 which now seems low as retro prices have steadily gone up to their near $200 price point in some cases. Hopefully in 2016 we will see a return of the True Blue Jordan 3 as multiple shoes have been already re-retroed in a span of 5 years, and the market for Jordan 3’s has become a little less over-saturated with lackluster colorways.
