In this week’s throwback segment I wanted to shed history on one of the few confirmed shoes that I am looking forward to so far in 2015 which is the Jordan 4 in the “Oreo” colorway. The shoe was first debuted in 1999 and despite its hiatus and somewhat prestige in the sneaker community this shoe is in fact not an original colorway from 1989. Similarly to the Columbia 4 which was also retroed for the first time since 1999, this colorway will be receiving the hotly debated “Remastered Series” tag. The “Oreo” concept on this Jordan sneaker is quite simple with a black leather upper against a speckled grey midsole and other various touches of grey spread throughout the shoe. The pair pictured is from 1999 and shows the typical age in a shoe only a year younger than I am with their yellowed air bubbles and oxidized heel jumpmen. Something about all black Jordan’s is so simple yet somewhat elegant, and because of their simplicity these kicks fit nicely with almost anything.
